European Nature Information System (EUNIS) habitat classification code: A1.241/B-MLR.Eph.Ent - Enteromorpha spp. on freshwater-influenced or unstable upper eulittoral rock (Davies & Moss, 1998).
This review also represents the biotope MLR.EntPor - Porphyra purpurea or Enteromorpha spp. on sand-scoured mid or lower eulittoral rock. MLR.EntPor occurs in areas adjacent to sand, whose scour significantly affects the community, fucoids are scarce and ephemeral algae, especially Porphyra and Enteromorpha dominate.
