Biotope importance
The Musculus discors carpet probably provides a locally important food source for mobile predators such as crabs, starfish and some fish but no information was found.
Exploitation
Musculus discors is not subject to exploitation. Where kelps are present, they may be subject to harvesting (see sensitivity to extraction).
