Found on wave exposed coasts in the Shetland Isles and Orkney, south east Scotland, north east England, Cornwall, Devon and the Isles of Scilly, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigionshire, north Wales, the Isle of Man, the west coasts of Ireland and Scotland including the Hebrides, St Kilda and Rockall.
