Latin name: Xantho incisus.
A type of crab (Crustacea)
Key Features
- Yellowish or reddish-brown.
- Large different sized pincers with black tips.
- Short walking legs.
- Number of 'wrinkles' running between the eyes.
- Will extend it's claws when disturbed to make it look bigger.
Where to look:
On the lower shore, under stones and in shallow pools.
Effects of warming sea:
Will become more common in Britain and be found further north.
