Small, about 50mm in length. Ghostlike when swimming against light sand, but when caught in net immediately changed to a dark black colour. Very large eyes which looked out of proportion with it's body. Covered in lots of pigmented 'freckles' that changed colour to blend into background. When released, buried itself in the sand so that only it's eyes protruded. | Sepiola atlantica |

Thought these were sea spiders, but could find nothing like them online, and then changed our thinking to macropedia rostrata, although still not quite sure. These looked like bits of fine sea weed, but on closer inspection had a clear body structure like that of a spider, although they did not seem robust enough to be crabs! In the water they moved with a haphazard crawl, but just flopped when taken out in the net. Quite sprawling legs maybe 80-100mm in span, small 'body' about 10mm in length. | Macropodia tenuirostris |
