Habitats listed in the UK Biodiversity Action Plan (UKBAP)

The UK Biodiversity Action Plan is the UK's response to the requirements of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). A UK Biodiversity Action Plan (UKBAP) was published in 1995 . It identified a list of Species of Conservation Concern, from which priority species were identified together with priority habitats within the UK. A revised list of priority species and habitats was approved in June 2007. The 2007 UKBAP Priority Species and Habitats list contains 1149 species and 65 habitats.  The UKBAP was superseded in 2012 by the UK Post 2010 Biodiversity Framework. Further detail: JNCC
